About the Role:
Helping Hands Home Healthcare Agency in Bellefontaine, OH is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our caring team. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and record patient health status, vital signs, and changes in condition
- Provide medication reminders and assist with prescribed exercises or therapy routines
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean home environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Transport or accompany clients to medical appointments and errands
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or willingness to obtain one
- Previous experience in home care, personal care, or a related healthcare setting preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
